Beyond the classroom, our students have the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of school-sponsored activities.
Our academic program is further enriched by extracurricular programs and experiences.
Clubs change annually according to student and teacher interest. Currently, students can engage in Chess Club and Art Club. We encourage students to bring their ideas.
Field trips offer a chance for students to learn outside the classroom. Field trips are provided over the course of the school year and typically include excursions to the Federal Reserve Bank, Supreme Court, Ramshire Farm Park, and the Science Center. Information regarding additional trips, times, and locations will be provided in advance to parents by their child’s classroom teachers or school administration.
Students have the opportunity to join several programs throughout the school year. These programs include the Fresh Market Student Volunteer Program and Change of Direction Boys & Girls Mentoring Program. Please check with the front office for additional information.
Cleveland Preparatory Academy students have the opportunity to participate in organized sports. We currently offer Middle School Girls Volleyball and Middle School Boys Basketball. These sports take place after school and on the weekends. Small fees may apply.
Students may be eligible for free bus transportation provided by Community Bus Services or RTA passes. At the time of Registration, please request a transportation form. If you are trying to locate a bus in route, please contact 440-337-4376.
We observe a strict dress code policy for all grade levels as a way to help our school stay focused on academics and help our families keep wardrobe costs affordable. School uniforms are to be worn daily except on picture days (when indicated) or other special event days. Students are required to wear solid white, light blue, or navy blue short/long-sleeved shirts and solid black, navy, or khaki colored slacks, skirts, skorts, or jumpers. No colored denim may be worn and undergarments must be solid-colored as well. Read our entire Dress Code policy here.
A safe and secure school is our first priority. We incorporate physical security measures and crisis planning to keep our school safe. Our school safety plan includes a full time security guard, cameras, secured school entrance and on-going training for all teachers and support staff.
