Cleveland Preparatory Academy is built on a strong foundation of high expectations for academic and social achievement for all K-8 students. Our mission is to prepare students for a college preparatory high school that will ensure success and graduation from a four-year college. We meet each students’ different needs, learning rates and styles through media-rich content, direct instruction, and differentiated groupings.

With over ten years of experience as a principal, educator, and coach, Rob Williams became principal at Cleveland Preparatory Academy in 2019. Prior to joining ACCEL Schools in 2017, Mr. Williams worked for ICAN Schools in Cleveland. He additionally spent four years as a Division II Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at Lake Erie College. Mr. Williams holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Lake Erie College.
Iteisha Bankston joined ACCEL Schools in 2020 with over 20 years of experience as a K-12 educator and principal. As Regional Vice President at ACCEL Schools, she oversees leadership development, instructional programming, operations, and strategic planning for multiple schools in Northeast Ohio. Ms. Bankston is a school turnaround specialist with a proven track record in successfully transitioning underperforming schools by implementing research-based instructional strategies and facilitating professional development. Ms. Bankston holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Talladega College, an MBA from The University of Phoenix, and Master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Cleveland State University, and a School Administration Certificate from Cleveland State University.

Cleveland Preparatory Academy is a public, community school. We are our own school district sponsored by the Ohio Council of Charter Schools (OCCS), which provides oversight and enforces academic, fiscal, and legal accountability. We are managed by ACCEL Schools, a high performing network of over 50 charter schools located throughout the United States.
